The KORA – SHAQLAWA – QANDEEL HIGHWAY forms one link planned to facilitate efficient road travel across Erbil to Iran Border. In order to maximize the expected benefits to users a consistently high design standard should apply throughout the route. The rote has been designed in three lots.The Kora-Shaqlawa Section is 9.2 km, Shaqlawa-Harir Junction Section is 13.3 km, and Harir Junction-Qandeel is 28.1 km long.

The project includes the Engineering & Design Works of 38.5 km (2×2) Highway Rehabilitation and Widening works. The Client attended for using the World Bank Fund saved for rehabilitation of this route, which has importance of connecting Erbil to Kirkuk. We carried out the both design and contract management works on behalf of the Client, and arranged meetings in Istanbul with the Client and World Bank authorities.

The project includes the Engineering & Design Works of two interchanges and arterial road in erbil City.  Koya Street Road is designed as a 2×2 divided highway with improved capacity and physical standards to serve for the increasing traffic demand.

The project includes the Engineering & Design Works of 4.9 km. of (2×2) highway. The highway corridor runs in a northeast-west direction from Erbil to Mosul.

Erbil and Mosul are the two important cities. They are highly crowded. Traffic on the road between two cities is so high.  These roads run to Kirkuk as well. The government institutions, towns and farm lands will also appreciably benefit from this road.
